Rock Camp Studio Summer Camp 2011 is on!
Yesterday was our first day of Rock Camp Studio at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls in Portland, Oregon and it was A M A Z I N G! Yesterday, campers formed bands and started writing songs to be recorded on Wednesday. Stay tuned for links to the recordings made by campers this week!
Today Houston and Olly made more progress on the distortion pedals. Thanks Jen Agosta for drilling our project boxes! This is the third class. It looks like one or two more classes before we can try them out…The pictures are from the end of class today.
Today was Hugo’s third studio class. Her homework over the week was to record a song on a 4-track by herself. Today she brought in the song she made and her and Radio mixed it and digitized it, which is when you convert something from analog form (a cassette tape in this case) to digital form. Hugo also started a new song today using Garage Band. They started using Garage Band because that’s the program that Hugo has on her home computer. In the future Hugo will work on recording songs on other programs, too, such as Cubase and Studio One.
